Village Planning - Overview & Background

The planning process is underway for the city’s village component of the Surprise General Plan.

City staff is working alongside village residents in developing a long-term vision for each of the city’s nine villages. All villages will have a village committee, comprised of village residents, who will provide official recommendations to the city on village goals, policies and long-range plans.

Currently, Village 1 and Village 2 are the main inhabited communities. But there are also homes located in Village 3 and Village 5.
